Apley House

This classic two-story summer home, built in the early 20th century, has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. Perfect for families or a large group, this cottage sleeps up to 9 people. There is a spacious country kitchen with full appliances including a dishwasher and washer and dryer. The large living room with gas fireplace is connected to the screened porch by French doors.

The beach is a short walk across the sandy road and down a wooded path. The private beach has a small swimming area and a short dock. A two-person canoe comes as part of the rental.

The house has a front screened porch, a back deck and a spacious yard that is surrounded by woods. Paths into the conservation land lead out from the yard.

There is one downstairs bedroom with king bed on the first floor. It has direct access to the bathroom with spacious shower. The washer and dryer are in a closet in this bedroom. Upstairs, one bedroom has 2 twin beds and a twin roll-away, the front room has a queen and the back room has a double. The upstairs bath has a claw-foot tub with hand shower. Bed linens, bath and beach towels are supplied.

The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of cooking equipment and dishes for a group of 9 plus a few guests. It comes with coffee maker, blender, toaster, microwave, mixer, small and large pots, gas grill and more. There is a phone, wireless internet and basic cable. Our TV does not have a HDMI connection, nor is there a stereo — please bring your own device if you’d like to play tunes from your smart phone.
